If you've got a warning light, a strange noise or the car just doesn't feel right, book a diagnostic inspection. The mechanic reads the fault codes, tests the system involved and checks the car over to find the cause.
You then get a written explanation and a fixed price for the repair. If you go ahead through MyLocalMechanic, the mechanic can often do it there and then if parts are available.

Usually about 1 hour. Your mechanic will tell you if your car needs longer.
Can it be done at my home?
In most cases, yes. Mobile mechanics need a safe, level place to park, such as a driveway or quiet street. If your job needs a workshop we'll let you know before you pay anything.
Is the price fixed?
Yes. The price on your quote is what you pay. If the mechanic finds something else, they'll explain it and give you a separate price – nothing extra is done without your OK.
