Skip the trip to the test centre. A mechanic collects your car, takes it to a local MOT test centre and returns it the same day. If it fails, you get a clear list of what needs fixing and a fixed price for the repairs before anything is done.
Price includes the MOT test fee and collection within the mechanic's area.

Can it be done at my home?
In most cases, yes. Mobile mechanics need a safe, level place to park, such as a driveway or quiet street. If your job needs a workshop we'll let you know before you pay anything.
Is the price fixed?
Yes. The price on your quote is what you pay. If the mechanic finds something else, they'll explain it and give you a separate price – nothing extra is done without your OK.
