A major service is usually due every two years or 24,000 miles. It includes everything in a full service and adds the parts that wear more slowly, such as spark plugs, fuel filter (on diesels), cabin filter and brake fluid where the schedule calls for it.
It's the best choice if you've bought a used car with patchy history and want to start fresh.

How long does major service take?
Usually about 3 hours. Your mechanic will tell you if your car needs longer.
Can it be done at my home?
In most cases, yes. Mobile mechanics need a safe, level place to park, such as a driveway or quiet street. If your job needs a workshop we'll let you know before you pay anything.
Is the price fixed?
Yes. The price on your quote is what you pay. If the mechanic finds something else, they'll explain it and give you a separate price – nothing extra is done without your OK.
