How we check our mechanics

Nobody takes a job through MyLocalMechanic until we've checked them.

• Recognised qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in vehicle maintenance, or equivalent
• At least 3 years' hands-on experience
• Public liability insurance (minimum £1m) and motor trade insurance
• Business and contact details confirmed
• Agreement to our mechanic terms and 12-month guarantee

After they join, we keep an eye on reviews, cancellations and complaints. Mechanics who don't keep up our standards are removed.
